Pedigree
On the sire-side, Rafeef is kinbred 2x2 Danehill x National Assembly (and from there 4x3 Spring Adieu x Renounce). This links in with the kin-breeding in Rafeef’s sire Redoute’s Choice (3x2 Spring Adieu x Dancing Show). This leads to Buckpasser, notably Northern Guest and Al Mufti. The female line of Redoute’s Choice is also the one of Northern Guest.
From the dam-side there is a kin-link between Renounce (dam of National Assembly) and Bold Example in the female line of Var’s damsire Zilzal. It involves Bold Ruler, Grey Flight and La Troienne, the latter the notable ancestor of Buckpasser.
Rafeef’s grandam Rainbow Cake has kin-linked descendants of Gold Bridge, who also appears in Thunderstruck’s female line. This suggests more duplications of the same.
Thunderstruck’s female line goes to the dam of sire Honest Pleasure whose sire What A Pleasure is full brother to the grandam of National Assembly.
