There is a strong kin-link involving Busted, through Tagula’s grandam Jolly Widow, and Welsh Flame in Canford Cliff’s damsire Marju. The dam of Canford Cliffs shows a strong kin-link between Welsh Flame and her grandam Lightning with ancestors on the bottom female line. Welsh Flame is also kin-linked to Goofed, the dam of Lyphard (Canford Cliff’s 2nd damsire). Lyphard is doubled in Canford Cliffs’ runners Al Jazi and Painted Cliffs. In the South African context this might suggest Elliodor (Lyphard x sister of Busted) as a foil for Canford Cliffs.

Welsh Flame’s daughter Flame Of Tara (dam of Marju) is by Artaius, a son of Round Table. The latter is from the same female line as Welsh Flame, going to Aloe and daughter Feola. The latter’s descendants are well represented in South Africa. Feola also appears in Tagula’s notable grandam Jolly Widow, through her damsire Vienna, a son of Aureole.
